Afghan Refugee Outreach Resources

Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, tens of thousands of people have fled to the United States (37,000 slated to be sent to various states initially) and other countries. According to one U.N. estimate, up to half a million refugees will leave Afghanistan by the end of 2021 . Since they are coming to the church’s doorstep, there is an immense opportunity to serve them with the love of Christ. You can now gain resources that can help you share the greatest news Afghans will ever hear.

Serving Afghan Refugees was developed by two Latin American mission networks reaching Afghanistan. The guide is beautifully formatted and an excellent introduction to Afghan cultures, principles, and practices to help people serve them.

Another resource to help people working with Pashto Afghans is Speaking Pakistani Pashto. This web app introduces non-speakers to simple vocabulary and phrases along with audio recordings.
