Audiogram App Comparison

Challenge

Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram make it difficult to post and listen to audio-only content directly. Workarounds like sharing web links and 3rd-party file hosting can route an audience to audio content housed in places like SoundCloud and DropBox, but this is hardly ideal. Considering the level of social media use worldwide and the ministry benefits audio media provide (file sizes are smaller than videos, it doesn’t require a listener’s full attention, etc.), it is important to find ways to effectively share audio content using social media.

Solution

This is where audiograms come in. An audiogram is simply audio content packaged in video format with the audio message typically complemented by static visual images and text that connects with the audience. Audiograms can be shared and played directly on social media sites. While an audiogram can be made with a video editing app, the simple workflow of audiogram apps makes the process quick and easy. The media files produced by audiogram apps are also usually much smaller than those produced by video editing apps.

We’ve taken a detailed look at audiograms and compared several audiogram apps to create a report sharing recommendations and how-to’s. Please share your experience with audiograms in the comments section below.
