If you’re living in the present, doing everything you can just to get to the things that need to be done today, you’re in good company. Your problem is that solving today’s problems doesn’t necessarily prepare you for tomorrow’s world and the opportunities and issues it will bring. Every once in a while, it’s good to take a step back and consider where things are going to make sure you and your team or organization are well-positioned for the future. The two resources below give new perspective about “on-the-horizon” changes in technology you may soon need to understand.

Faith Tech Trends

This resource equips Christian ministries to understand and leverage 15 technologies that are likely to change our world over the next five years. Discover more at https://faithtech.com/trends/

McKinsey Digital’s Top Trends in Tech

This report (executive summary here) is a deep dive into technologies that will have the greatest impact on organizations and industries over the next decade and beyond. While this research is not as directly applicable to Christian ministry as the Faith Tech Trends report, it gives you a broader look at technologies that will affect our world in the mid-term and enables you to gain a broader sense of where technology and industry are heading.

Recognize that there may be bits and pieces of “false prophecy” in these reports and take them with a grain of salt. BUT also recognize that there’s a lot of good stuff to chew on. To close, let me share one last post I ran across recently. This may or may not pan out, but, if it does, it’s something that could bring radical changes to all technology.
