Change in China

My previous assignment was in the rural mountains of Yunnan. Once as I was walking about in a village, I saw a farmer plowing his field with a water buffalo. Then his phone rang and he pulled out his China made smart phone to answer the call. That was the day I realized that instead of producing DVDs, we should be producing media to be played on a gadget that more and more people are using even in the rural areas.

Here is another real story:

Recently, a Canadian friend of mine while traveling on the high speed train in Nanjing noticed that a Chinese using his smart phone. He commented to the person that he was putting out a rather long text message. The Chinese passenger replied that he was a student at the Nanjing Seminary and he was writing a research paper on his smart phone.
